Jarrah Burl Vase II
This Jarrah Burl Vase has been turned and hollowed retaining the natural edge of the burl. It has been sanded down to 2000 grit and finished wirh several coats of Danish Oil

Coolabah Burl Bowl
A shallow Coolabah Burl Bowl. Note how with no beads or a rim this bowl lacks that "wow factor". I now tend to do a rim or place some beads around the rim to highlight changes in profile. See images of Australian Burl Platters for examples.

This large ~58cm, burl bowl was turned from a very old Australian burl of unknown species. Probably Coolabah but not sure.

Coolabah Burl Natural-edged Bowl
This large, >45cm, bowl has been turned from a big chunk of Coolabah Burl. The natural edge around the rim was bleached three times to provide a stark contrast with the rest of the bowl. Finished with Danish Oil.
