Lace Sheoak Single Ring Box
This small, 30mm, single ring box has been crafted from a small section of Lace Sheoak (Casurina fraserana). It is intended to house a single ring or other small item of jewelry. It makes a fantastic alternative to those ugly boxes often provided with engagement rings. As with all my lidded boxes I have sanded this piece down to 2000 grit before waxing. It has been finished with commercial wax for a high polish to highlight the spectacular grain of the "Lace" variety of Western Australian Sheoak.

Lace Sheoak Ring Box
This box is made from the "Lace" variety of Western Australian Sheoak (Casurina fraserana). This piece was mounted on the lathe seven times during production compared with two or three for a bowl. Hence the increased price for such a small item. The piece is finished with commercial wax to highlight the fantastic grain.

Ebony Ring Box
This small individual ring box was turned from a 25mm square section of African Ebony. Ebony is a very expensive timber to buy. This very small piece of timber cost $25. I made this for my wife for Christmas. I think she liked the box but the Argyle diamond ring inside was the bigger hit. The box has been sanded down to 2000 grit and highly polished with wax.
